My Background

My career began in Chicago performing locally with jazz trios and then as a featured night club act that travelled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Asia. I toured with the Dick Clark Caravan of Stars as a back-up pianist and vocalist, and later performed as featured vocalist with Brazilian organist Walter Wanderly. After returning to California I worked for many years as a solo pianist and vocalist in the Bay Area's finest hotels and have performed with my husband and our band all over the Bay. We moved to Portland, OR in early 2022 and I'm now in the process of establishing my home studio here!

My musical passion has shifted over the years from live performance to instruction. I spent eight years teaching pre-school music in San Francisco before moving to private lessons at Piedmont Piano and in my home studio. I love working with young children, teenagers, and young-at-heart adults and believe that sharing the joy of music is a path to enriching your life.
